The Process Paradox barrier
to getting an Enterprise to mature its Transformation capability is to get the
change on the radar, we are battling against the currently flawed process. If
the current process was not flawed, we would not need to mature it.
We want to mature a broken system of Transformation, but to
get that work on the table we are generally faced with having to go through the
Enterprises current (flawed) Strategising and Roadmapping phases. If those
phases are flawed, it is unlikely to get the work to mature Transformation on
This is why Pragmatic’s frameworks propose to use the
Transformation process defined in POET rather than an Enterprises current
Of course, just because we define it does not mean that
people will be able to follow it. We should therefore be cognizant of the fact
that we will face a lot of pushback from an Enterprises current Strategising
and Roadmapping capabilities.
Does your Enterprises current
Strategising and Roadmapping capabilities, prevent them from seeing the
benefit of improving them?
How can you get round that?
