“Yes - Moves EA into a more business oriented domain whilst keeping hold of the technical domain. Concept of Enterprise Debt is outstanding for communicating EA goals and capabilities. Makes EA more approachable to non EA's.” - Consultant, NA, Australia, Jun 2012

Normal price is £2,999 but for those who are part of the "sale" reorganisation work, I can offer that to you for £999.

It would give people a great opportunity to really understand what this stuff is and to decide how powerful/useful (or not) it is.

If you would like to book, just email me with your name/address for invoicing purposes.

27 September 2016

Two webinars have been set up to answer as many questions as possible for people and at the same time allow for some live questions (by chat) and answers from me by voice.

One webinar is at a time suitable for the Western Hemisphere and one at a time suitable for the Eastern Hemisphere. Each is booked for 90mins but will finish early depending on how things go and how many extra questions there are.

The format will be some introductory material from me to set the scene and then I will answer all the questions that have been emailed to me so far. After that, I will deal with any questions asked via the chat window.

These webinars are open webinars that do not require registration as I want to provide the ability for people to hide their identity from others if they so wish.

When you join the meeting it will ask for your name, and since your name will appear in the chat window everyone will see, you can put anything you like if you want to hide your identity. It might ask you for an email but that field is optional so just leave that blank if you want to hide your identity also.

The webinars will be recorded and links to them posted afterwards.

20 September 2016

I will be organising 2 webinars. One for the USA to UK timezone and one for the UK to Australia timezone.

The purpose is to answer as many questions as possible for people and at the same time allow for some live questions and answers.

So, in preparation, can anyone who wishes to, send in any questions you have (even if you asked before). I will then collate and prepare a presentation tackling all those questions. In addition there will be time at the end for any other questions arising.

I am hoping to run them from webex or gotomeeting in a way that all can see my presentation of answers but no one can see who else is on the webinar (to preserve everyone's anonymity)

So...

1. Please email me your questions.

2. In addition, please send me your answers to the following questions...

Why are you interested ?

What do you think you can bring to the party?

What is your vision for Pragmatic EC and Pragmatic EA?

What is your preference (Consortium, Buyout, major share, something else?)

What do you see as my role going forward in terms of remit?

What do you see as my role going forward in terms of size (none, minor, medium, major?)

25 August 2016

I’m open to discussing any and all options, including me continuing to be involved to some degree or not at all, as some people have expressed interest but would want to use me as a kind of Zachman figure (but in a good way!), while others have expressed an interest which means kicking me out of the picture totally.

The more I listen to what people say and think about it more myself, I begin to see a pattern emerging of what various people are talking about:

1)      Buy the whole thing to grow it. These people seem to take the normal 1 dimensional simplistic approach of some multiple of last 2 or 3 years earnings - which doesn't really work because it’s the sales is where the problem is, hence, by definition they are low.

2)      Buy the whole thing to kill it (a bit like the guy at Hoover said he should have done to Dyson when he came to them asking for investment/help instead of telling him to piss off because Dyson was then small and didn’t have a lot of customers – exactly like me – good ideas but no sales/marketing business savvy.

3)    Take a massive stake – maybe 100% ownership but essentially to do all the sales/marketing/business stuff and then employ me in some capacity for some length of time. (from using me to a large degree for a long period of time, to using me in a small degree for a short period of time)

4)     Consortium - where any of the above could be the end game but driven by a group of committed people who all bring specific things to the table.

My goal is definitely to make it grow and get more people using it because I want to be part of making thousands of Enterprises better. Of course, off the back of that money rolls in in some form.

So based on that - options 1, 3 and 4 above seem the most logical at the moment  (although for option 1 , there is the elephant in the room of a valuation based on current sales, would mean people may only want to pay £1.50 for it!)

These are not set in stone and there may still be many other possibilities I haven’t tripped over yet.

I am quite open to any and all suggestions.

24 August 2016

Various people who had responded the the mailshot were directly emailed the following...

I guess Selling everything doesn’t say much ! lol.

Here’s the thing. I’m a guy who creates great stuff (mostly) that people (mostly) find fantastically useful when they know about it.

However, I am totally crap at running a business, doing deals, ,marketing, sales, etc, etc, etc.

Hence if I were to show you any numbers for the company over the years they would look bad.

This could mean that

1) What I have is rubbish and that’s why no one is “buying” or

2) it’s not rubbish but there is not enough exposure/gravity for people to even know it exists in the first place.

I happen to think its #2 above.

I believe that even if I had created the cure for cancer, I still wouldn’t be able to sell it and the company books would still look terrible!

That’s how bad I am at monetizing stuff I am!

However, there are things (apart from most people telling me I’m a genius) that can give people a warm feeling:

- Job adverts list it (not many granted but its growing) http://www.pragmaticea.com/peaf-jobs.asp

- Anyone who I train thinks its fantastic http://www.pragmaticea.com/comments-training.asp

- Most people (who have taken the time to understand it) would recommend it http://www.pragmaticea.com/comments-survey.asp

- Our differentiators http://www.pragmaticea.com/differentiators.asp

- Various bits and pieces related to credibility http://www.pragmaticea.com/credibility.asp

So – put simply, I believe it’s a sales and marketing problem (that’s not to say the product itself cannot be improved - just that it’s definitely good enough for now –that’s not where the work needs to be done.

I also have various other ideas in the pipeline – various maturity assessment cavasses (utilising ontologies from POET and PEAF) one is already live and an example show on the homepage – those workshops can be run face to face or online via a tool (I didn’t create the tool but its not expensive when you want to use my canvases in it)

Basically POET creates an almost new untapped market potentially worth billions worldwide.

So, now I blasted the “FOR SALE” sign everywhere it’s made me think more about what that actually means (might mean, could mean)!

I think (I could be wrong) when I say for sale, I mean for someone to own a large percentage (who knows? 60%?? 80%?? 100%??) of the whole thing, and let me get on with the work I like to do, like creating and improving things, evangelising, talking etc, and let someone else run the company, marketing sales, consulting, etc, etc, etc. Kind of roll me out here and they like some kind of guy who talks a bit smiles and signs some books.

Maybe I mean them owning everything but employing me in a mutually beneficial way to improve, evangelise, etc as needed.

Anyway – as The Terminator says “There’s no fate but what we make” so I’m open to discussing any and all options, including me continuing to be involved to some degree or not at all, as some people have expressed interest but would want to use me as a kind of Zachman figure (but in a good way!), while others have expressed an interest which means kicking me out of the picture totally.

I’m not in decision mode at all. I’m in let’s discuss what may or may not work without any restrictions.

What kind of things may or may not work from your pov?
