Here we illustrate how the components of MACE are related. Don't forget that to enable Transformation, each is represented at different levels of Idealisation/Realisation.

At the core are the Methods which execute within the Culture and Environment that exists, with the whole existing within a context.

The Methods break down into Phases and Disciplines and it is these Disciplines that are utilised to varying degrees in each phase which act upon the Artefacts to varying degrees.

The Operating Model for the domain in question equates to the Contextual level information which defines an abstract representation of how the Methods, Artefacts, Culture and Environmental things come together to accomplish its function.

In your Enterprise, where are the Operating Models defined for Direction, Operations, Transformation and Support?

Do they cover all areas?

If you mapped them to MACE, would there be any overlaps or gaps?

If so, would there be any benefit in removing them?

How would you do that?
